Jenkins and hairy_freak favourite places in Belgrade

We love Belgrade — a city that has become home to our tournaments, a magnet for esports fans, and a stage for writing a new chapter in international esports history. Many of our friends, professional players and casters, live here and are always eager to share their favorite spots. Don’t miss the chance to explore Belgrade in your free time before and after the tournament!

Andrew “Jenkins” Jenkins

Moved to Serbia from Canada

I understand it's a big game here. I'm not much of a CS player myself but I'm always happy to see esports in general be popular or supported in any way. Especially because Dota 2 (the best game ever made, and the game that stole my heart) is a sister game to CS. To me, it doesn't really matter the country - if they're supporting a game, no matter what the game, I'm happy. I don't think esports is even 10% of the way to its peak, so anything that's pushing this towards where it should be I love to see. And in the place that I live? Even better!

Birds Restaurant

Birds (a food place) in town has AMAZING food - dumplings, Russian salad, draniki. S tier food, amazing service, super unique. My girlfriend and I go there a lot to eat. Consistently great.

Address: Strahinjića Bana 1

Ada Ciganlija beach

A huge man made beach with lots of stuff to do, food, coffee, chilling, jet skiing, you can rent boats, etc. And it's super super long so you can find a spot that is comfortable pretty easily. One of my favorite places in Belgrade.

Belgrade Waterfront

Definitely worth visiting, lots of good food and bars located along a nice scenic waterfront (would recommend trying Pistachio pizza place for great pizza here)

Address: Sava Promenada

Belgrade castle Kalemegdan

Recommended to tourists, but ABSOLUTELY worth the hype. Would recommend catching the sunset sitting on the castle walls overlooking the waterfront.

Grow up in Serbia

The FISSURE LANS definitely have a positive impact on the development of esports. One thing about CS and Dota fans alike here in Serbia is that they are older, younger generations play more LoL. So I think advertising to families with kids to come to LANs would be even more beneficial. The LANs are awakening nostalgia with the older generation that grew up playing cs in internet

Underground computer clubs

Number one is definitely the underground internet cafes beneath the statue of Vuk Karadžić. The place is known by locals as KGB because that was the name of the first net café there. But there are dozens of them. Still remember in most places a full night of playing was 200 dinars or less than 2 euros.

LVLUP Barcraft & e-sports club

The second place is not in Belgrade. It is in Novi Sad. The levelup bar. It is an esports bar owned by the owner of the biggest Serbian esports org. Great vibes,  esports always on, a lot of board games.

Address: Bulevar Oslobodjenja 7, Novi Sad

Brat Če and Fidel

There are 2 very cool small bars in Belgrade that are located on the same street. One is called “Brat Che”, the other is called Fidel. The street is called Strahinjića Bana, and then you have these 2 small underground cafés that are nothing like the surroundings.  The bars are very interesting especially because they are in this very rich street with a lot of expensive cafés.

Brat Če: Strahinjića Bana 44

Fidel:  Strahinjića Bana 4

Close to the Sava Centar and Belgrade Arena there is a street that is full of fast foods. Known by the locals as the street of the hungry. Most of the places work 24/7. But the funny thing is not far from there, there is the original street of the hungry. The street name is Bulevar Maršala Tolbuhina. It got popularized by a very specific place that sells Šiš ćevap. Also works 24/7 and even if you come at 3 am there will be a long line there. But they work incredibly fast.  When you are going home from a night out, this is where you eat.

Address: Sis Cevap, Marshala Tolbuhina 27
