Belgrade: from historic districts to riverfront views
Belgrade is a city with a rich history, and therefore each of its neighborhoods reflects the spirit of the time and era in which it was built. Every corner of the city has its own atmosphere, interesting places and unusual sights. The FISSURE team has prepared for you a small guide to the city districts, with their descriptions and a list of our friends' establishments, where you should stop by in your free time.
Vračar
Have a coffee on the cozy streets
A pleasant and quiet district of Belgrade with many sights, historical buildings and museums. Here you will find one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world - St. Sava Church, the cozy Tasmajdan Park and the city's largest market, Kalenic, where you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables.
In Vračar, cozy coffee shops with terraces shaded by trees, local bars, and restaurants offering both Serbian and international cuisine are hidden on almost every street.
Ćilim Bar — is a bar with experimental drinks, original interpretations of classics and seasonal offers.
The name of the bar refers to the traditional Serbian ćilimu - a double-sided carpet, both sides of which have equal value. This idea reflects the philosophy of the place: just as a rug has no “front” and “back” sides, so here the same attention is paid to all drinks to achieve a perfect balance in every detail.

Nekrasova — is a small emigrant bar with a large selection of drinks.
Here you can eat a variety of snacks, drink coffee on the small veranda and even read a book from the local community library.

Stroll along the new waterfront
One of the most walkable neighborhoods in Belgrade. The long promenade that runs along the new Belgrade Waterfront, a new district of skyscrapers and office buildings, neighbors cozy streets with many gardens and parks. The promenade is not far from Sava Center, so it is definitely convenient to visit even if you live in another neighborhood. After your walk, you can stop for a rest and a bite to eat at one of our tried-and-true place:

Experience the tourist chic of the city
One of the oldest districts of Belgrade is the tourist center, where the main attractions are located.
Here you will find the central square Trg Republika, the pedestrianized Kneza Mihaila Street with many restaurants and stores, and the ancient fortress of Kalemegdan. On Kneza Mihaila 12, look out for the bookstore of the legendary Serbian book publisher Gec Kon from the first half of the 20th century, reminiscent of the atmosphere of old libraries. The park near Kalemegdan offers great views of the city and the Danube, and the promenade near it is definitely worth a walk at sunset.
And if you want to look good in selfies with your favorite players or bet you'll shave your head if you don't get a good look, you can take a stroll along the waterfront near Kalemegdan if your favorite team wins the tournament, we have a recommendation!
TT cuts is a barbershop with top-notch barbers, a stylish interior and a modern atmosphere. Their services include men's and women's haircuts, shaves and coloring.

Palilula
Belgrade as seen by locals
Palilula is a district of Belgrade bordering Vračar and still quite close to the center, but already more “simple” and industrial. Part of the famous New Cemetery (Novo Grobљe), where famous figures of Serbian history and culture are buried, is also located in Palilula. For the most part, the neighborhood consists of ordinary residential houses, student dormitories and industrial buildings. If you get hungry during your walk, there are places to dine:
All Stars Bar is a small local bar-restaurant with juicy burgers made of fresh quality meat, specialty fries and crispy onion rings.
Address: Mije Kovačevića 9
New Belgrade
The very neighborhood of Belgrade where FISSURE PLAYGROUND 1 - CS will take place. A brutal but green neighborhood with many parks, wide avenues and an atmosphere of the 60s or 80s. Here you'll find Usce Park, the Museum of Modern Art, and the waterfront overlooking the old city. If you haven't bought your tickets for the tournament yet, now is the time.
